You can bring your own or hire and have lessons from Avon Park.
You can bring your own small boat or inflatable and launch it right in front of the lodge.
The river taxis run from Easter to end of October and start from outside the Riverside Restaurant and go into Stratford-upon-Avon. A lovely way to travel and see the scenery.
Just a short walk across the footbridge and along the river path is the Crazy Golf and Children's Playground. There is also a giant screen for watching films and sport events (weather permitting)
Free fishing for self-catering guests of Bend in the River Lodge on the River Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon. During the season 16 June to 15 March there is free private fishing (rod licence required) from the river banks of the park for 1.5 miles. There is a field next door to the Lodge with fishing stands where you can erect a bivvy should you wish. Pike, zander, bream, roach, dace, chub, eels are all caught on this stretch of the River Avon.
Arden Lakes, just a five-minute drive from Bend in the River Lodge in Stratford upon Avon has six lakes, all holding mixed stocking suited to a variety of fishing styles and so are ideal for fishing in the warmer summer weather and targeting the good numbers of silverfish in the colder winter months on the more sheltered lakes. Stroll along the river bank and enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife, watching or participating in wild swimming in the River Avon.
For children to play, ride their bikes and scooters away from roads.
